About UtilityRateWatch
Utilities across the US have been asking regulators for record rate increases. The details are public, but they are spread across dozens of state regulators' dockets, utility filings and local news. UtilityRateWatch brings them together on one page per utility, so you can quickly see what's pending, what was approved, when it reaches your bill and roughly how much it adds.
Principles
- Sourced: every number links to where it came from, preferably the regulator's own records.
- Neutral: we report what utilities requested, their stated reasons, and what regulators decided, without commentary.
- Current: every utility is re-checked weekly, and each page shows when it was last checked.
- Honest about gaps: if a figure isn't public, we say so rather than estimate it.
Independence
UtilityRateWatch is independent. It is not affiliated with, funded by, or endorsed by any utility, regulator or advocacy group. The site is informational only; confirm details with your utility or state regulator before making decisions.
