Nevada Power filed its quarterly fuel and purchased-power rate update asking to cut annual revenue by about $100.2 million from Oct. 1, 2026, citing lower fuel and market energy costs. The company said a typical residential bill would fall about $5.01 a month (3.63%). A separate pending deferred-energy case could add about $0.73 a month for residential customers if approved as filed.

Nevada Power asked for $215.7 million (9.09%), later updated to $224 million, and a mandatory daily demand charge for homes and small businesses. The PUCN approved $118 million from Oct. 1, 2025 with a 9.5% ROE, and the demand charge from April 2026, which regulators said would lower most residential bills about 1.5% while raising rooftop-solar bills about $12 a month.
